Fun and easy to use, this was a great craft to do which is quite different from what the kids and I usually do. I liked how this set helped make you get creative, also the clay was nice to work with and felt nice for a sensory crafting activity. Once you create what you wanted you can then keep it as a nice memory. The colours where fun and vibrant, the clean up was near non existent when we were done, it was an excellent activity and I will look out for more in the future.

My 8 year old is always creating stuff and this air dry clay set kept her occupied for a long time. The box contains of clay for the specific animal you're creating and the instructions were easy for her to follow. They dry quickly, so they were ready to be proudly displayed by her on the same day. The finished animals are lovely (depending on how well your little one does with creating them). I think if you have kids who like crafty things, they'll love this

My two daughters have been having fun making the various clay cakes in this set. The set is nicely presented with 6 good sized bags, each containing various clay and instructions to make 6 different types of cake . You can also make your own and we found that there's plenty of clay leftover in each pack. The air dry clay isn't your typical clay - it's very foamy and light, similar to paper clay. It's easy to mold and doesn't make much of a mess. The only issue we had with the clay is that it tends to, well, melt whilst drying. My kids made their cakes, left them to dry, however we found the clay struggled to hold its shape lol. This was a tad disappointing and we kept having to squash bits back into place. Having said that, they didn't come out too bad once dry and my daughters really enjoyed using the clay. Overall the clay takes about 24 hours to fully dry - you need to turn the cakes over to ensure the underside dries too. When dry, they almost feel like foam. The set also comes with a cardboard cake stand in which to display the cakes, which is a lovely addition. It's a nice set and with the 6 individual bags included, it'd make a great party activity :)

This is a lovely set of modelling clay. It comes with 6 separate bags that contain everything you need to create one animal each, so you can easily share them out without the kids fighting over certain colours, which is a lifesaver in my house! My 6 year old son had great fun with these this morning. He followed the easy to follow instructions and then went off spec to create his own creations. My youngest just made his own things but thoroughly enjoyed squishing and rolling the clay. They both had lots of fun with it, so I definitely think it's value for money. It kept them away from screen time for a few hours, which is amazing, and they then played with and battled the animals and creatures they created!

What I particularly liked about this item is that it contains 6 individual bags, each containing everything you need to make an animal, which means no fighting between the kids for a particular colour etc. The animals are great fun to make and the colours are lovely. The dough is really easy to manipulate and has a nice soft texture to it. The animals are quite easy to make and were actually quite robust to play with afterwards. Fun and good value kit to keep the kids occupied without much mess!

A beautiful box containing six pouches, a cake-stand, and three pink scrapers. Each pouch contains six small packets of air-dry clay and instructions for a dessert. The colours are bright; the ideas are fun. We also watched the seller’s video before proceeding to give us ideas on how to roll and make the cakes although, in the end, the kids decided to imrovise. Any leftovers were used to make tiny cakes and other foods for the doll’s house. Clean to use, moulded well and didn’t leave a mess. We have a lot of play dough implements and these were put to good use as well as the three included implements. A fun afternoon.

This is a nice kit, but I think it's a little overpriced. I appreciate the individually packaged kits for the various animal designs. It keeps things organized and gives you the option of splitting them up as smaller gifts for multiple kids. But when I assess the value, it seems to me like the packaging and included animal designs/instructions are a way to sell a quantity of air-dry clay at a price that is higher than it would be otherwise. I like art/craft materials so I took this clay for a spin to give you my insight. The colors are individually wrapped in air-tight bags so they are nice and pliable when opened. I pinched off a chunk of clay from one of the colors and put it in a ziploc baggie to see if it would stay moist and usable, and it did! They clay is fun to touch and squish, and is an approachable way for kids to sculpt and play. I I decided to make a weird little tree trunk out of the brown clay to assess the sculptural limits of the material. I'm sharing my thoughts with you to help you help your kids set expectations for what this clay can and can't do. The clay is easy to stretch, bend, and squeeze into different shapes. It is best suited for rounded shapes, as it tends to slump and smooth out as it sits and dries. Therefore, it is not great for shapes with hard, straight lines. When I sculpted my little tree, I gave some definition to the shape of the roots, but as it sat out to dry the material succumbed to gravity and transformed those roots into something akin to a duck foot. For the same reason, the clay is not suited for retaining surface textures, either. If you're making a form that is upright or tall, I recommend using the trick in my pictures, where I inserted some toothpicks to create an armature. I was pleasantly surprised by how well that helped keep minimize drooping in my tree branches. The clay adheres to itself well, so I'm confident that the animal patterns in this kit can be executed with ease. The clay adheres to itself when all pieces are wet, and you can also easily attach new pieces of wet clay to other pieces that have been dried. There are endless opportunities here! Play with this clay on hard, non-porous surfaces. I placed some of mine on a bamboo cutting board for a moment and regretted it because it was hard to remove from the surface and it left some clay residue on my board. I washed it immediately and it came off just fine, though. Regardless of your working surface, I recommend using a flexible spatula to pick up your sculptures while they're drying. Or, you could just designate a working surface to use for play and drying. Maybe something you can pick up and put on a shelf, because drying will take a while. When I tried using just my hands to pick up my little tree trunk from my working surface to set it aside to dry, I couldn't avoid deforming the clay, because it sticks to the working surface and needs some encouragement to come off. It's so squishy that I couldn't help but mess it up a little. Hence my recommendation of the spatula. I used a thin little silicone spatula made for scraping contents from jars, and it was perfect. The clay dries slowly enough that it remains workable for long enough to complete a little craft, but dries quickly enough to satisfy eager kids. After a few hours, the surface is solid but the interior isn't completely dried. Give it a day or two and they should be completely dried throughout. I also used some of the white clay to experiment with surface decoration. You can paint these, for sure, but then you'd have to clean up the paint and brushes. Thankfully, markers and gel pens work great on the surface of this clay when it's dry. I even found that colored pencils worked a little bit, not for creating lines but for rubbing across the surface to create subtle shades. You can also poke a needle and thread through the dried clay in case you want to turn it into an ornament or something. In sum, this is a nice kit. Despite my opinions about the price, I'm glad to have this fun, sensory, creative activity on hand. Have fun sculpting!

We opened up this kit for our three kids plus a fourth who was over for a playdate, and everyone (from ages 2 - 7) had fun with it - although no one managed to make any creations that looked like the animals on the box! We liked that the clay didn't have a very strong smell and dried pretty well overnight (apart from a really big lumpy monster thing that one kid made that was still a little wet on the bottom the next morning). The colors are nice and bright and the clay was easy to work with. All in all, a fun activity for sure!

This is a great pack of air dry clay for regular home use or entertaining. We used them for a party and each kid got their own enclosed package ready to go - with everything they needed to make the models. The clay was easy to work with and kids had a blast. It dried solidly within 24 hours and the ones that actually made it into animal form looked pretty impressive for 3 year olds! There's 6 individuals bags with directions for each animal - and 3 sculpting tools - my only feedback is including 6 sculpting tools would have been a little more party-friendly. Overall these were a hit and we'll def be getting them again for home use - and other parties. The price seems quite reasonable for 6 individually packed kits - it would cost much more to buy them individually.
